To be willing and brave, let alone be successful as a presenter is not an easy job. Moreover, presented it in English and spoke with a foreigner. But it wasn’t for the little girl who has full name, Prudence Queisha Qurrota Ayunin, a 7th grade student of MTsN 1 Pati. Queisha, she used to be called, is successfully bringing podcast program which is held by Creative Team of MTsN 1 Pati at Symphony Studio few days ago, with the theme of “A key to Success in Learning Foreign Language” with Miss Giulia, an Italian volunteer.
Like a reliable and professional presenter, the pretty cute little girl who graduated from one of Elementary School in Grobogan Regency starts her podcast by introducing herself to Miss Giulia.
“Good morning, miss, I’m Queisha from MTsN 1 Pati. “Said Queisha.
“Hello, morning too. I’m miss Giulia from Italy.” Replied miss Giulia
After getting a warm welcome, the two getting familiar and dissolved in a conversation without being nervous. Queisha with her fluent English continued asking intriguing questions to Miss Giulia who served at MTsN 1 Pati for two weeks (7 – 20/8). It’s interesting that Queisha was able to cut short the answer that Miss Giulia gave her at the time of need, and this was not owned by amateur anchorwomen. Miss Giulia felt happy to be part of it, not only because she got a good talker to talk with, she can also convey her messages through this program.
“I’m very happy”, said miss Giulia answering Queisha’s questions about the podcasting process that day.
Because of my admiration for her success in presenting the event, which so far I have never found before at Queisha’s level who can be a good presenter or interviewer, maybe even for teacher’s level, then I took the time to chat casually with her in between attending her English lessons.
I told her how I appreciate her amazing work and I continue to asked her about the key success in speaking English especially when she did the podcast with miss Giulia, the quiet girl who won storytelling competition at her regency answer politely in English.
“The secret to getting ahead is getting started, the secret to gain the best is dare to start. “Answered Queisha. It’s awesome (KERREN)
I didn’t realize she had such an amazing principles in life. After that I added some questions about herself who’s already proficient in English, the girl who born from a spouse of Agus Heri Triyono and Puji Suryani answering casually.
“Language acquisition is a habit process, at Elementary School I started to encourage myself practicing English, coincidently my mom is an English teacher so I didn’t get any difficulties to do that, besides, I took a private English course, so the collaborations at home and course made me who I am now”. “The key is, you should try not to be afraid or to be wrong, the next step is get used to practice it, because life is learning, and in learning there’s no word of wrongs”, she said.
So amazing (KERREN), a teenager who was born in Grobogan twelve years ago is able to ask some great questions playfully. She could even catch and understand all miss Giulia’s answers calmly. The more interesting fact is that the questions source was arranged by herself with teachers simply guiding her.
In that brief podcast, Queisha threw intriguing questions about miss Giulia’s first impression of MTsN 1 Pati, her opinion about MTsN 1 Pati’ s achievements, the messages she conveys for MTsN 1 Pati and also her opinion of the headmaster of MTsN 1 Pati.
This is miss Giulia’s fist time being a volunteer in Indonesia. She is shocked and surprised with the student’s habitual activities at MTsN 1 Pati, because at 3 A.M they already woke up and started their daily activities. Meanwhile, in her country, daily activities begun at 8 A.M. She also said, she was very delighted, happy and enjoy getting along with great students of MTsN 1 Pati. For miss Giulia, they’re so friendly, respect to others and have a high enthusiasm to study. It’s just that this white girl said a lot of students weren’t brave enough try speaking in English.
At the end of her podcast miss Giulia hopes all of a student of MTsN 1 Pati should dare to try, especially try speaking in English because language is a habitual action and never be afraid to be wrong, start from now, because regret is pointless.
“Thank you, guys, and miss you.” End miss Giulia.
Hearing the last closing word of miss Giulia, the girl who wants to be a police officer still asking her time chatting happily about miss Giulia’ s impression of MTsN 1 Pati’s headmaster.
Bashfully but bluntly, miss Giulia who was invited to go on a vacation at headmaster’s hometown, Jepara said “The headmaster of MTsN 1 Pati was so kind, humble and friendly. But sometimes when he speaks English language, he feeling so shy”, said miss Giulia.
Miss Giulia was also very grateful for the hospitality and wholehearted services from the families and companions of MTsN 1 Pati during her vacation at Jepara.
“It was amazing moment. Thank you for everything, especially the gifts, the photos look really nice. And thank you for the paint and your poetry, bapak Ali Musyafak. I’m really sad and want to stay here longer but I have to go back,” said miss Guilia full of emotion.
From all above, I can conclude that success is easy, it starts with dare to try. Doing something doesn’t require a big step but the small steps with a big passion is more motivating. Besides, there’s a big secret on success, that is istiqomah or get used to. A few that we make as habit with continue will be more successful than many but only done once.
May it inspire
Wallahu a’lam
